Ava Kopec, a Cal-bound senior at Rocklin Whitney High, placed second in the fastest section of the girls 800 meters by clocking 2:17.04 at the Dublin Distance Fiesta at Dublin High in California. Kopec also ran 5:08.69 to finish 16th in the fastest section of the 1,600 meters and 18th overall among all 29 races combined.
